Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on improving the employee lifecycle, HR processes, and coaching managers through disciplinary and investigation procedures. Hybrid position with 3 days in Truro and two days at home, offering up to £46k.

The role requires strong people management skills, employment law knowledge, and the ability to drive change and manage HR projects across services.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver on all aspects of people management including recruitment, retention, development and management.
• Experience and knowledge of the essentials of employment law, and proven ability in managing complex employee relations work.
• Proven ability to plan, identify and mitigate risk, manage and deliver HR, manager training or projects.
• Proven ability to work independently, drive change and adapt approaches.

Responsibilities

• Deliver improved employee lifecycle and effective People processes across allocated services.
• Coaching and supporting managers through disciplinary, investigation, performance management and absence processes.
• Quality-assuring people processes, ensuring policy compliance, consistent practice and effective risk management.
• Partnering with staff and managers at all levels, providing practical direction and guidance in collaboration with the wider People team.
• Supporting organisational change, recruitment activity, induction, new starter and leaver processes across allocated services.
• Designing and delivering HR training for Team Leaders and managers, including performance and sickness absence.
• Turning staff feedback into practical improvements that strengthen culture, reduce absence and improve retention.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract to drive improvements in employee lifecycle and HR processes, as well as support, coach and develop managers to lead disciplinary and investigation processes.

This is a hybrid position based 3 days a week in Truro with two days home working and paying up to £46k.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering improved employee lifecycle and effective People processes throughout allocated services
• Coaching and supporting managers through disciplinary, investigation, performance management and absence processes
• Quality-assuring people processes, ensuring policy compliance, consistent practice and effective risk management
• Partnering with staff and managers at all levels, providing practical direction, advice and guidance in collaboration with the wider People team
• Supporting organisational change, recruitment activity, induction, new starter and leaver processes across allocated services
• Designing and delivering HR training for Team Leaders and managers, including performance, sickness absence and early issue resolution
• Turning staff feedback into practical improvements that strengthen culture, reduce absence and improve retention
