Job summary

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a proactive People Services Assistant on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. You will join a small People Services team delivering support across recruitment, contracts and payroll, including minute taking for People Partner cases.

Ideal candidates will be organised, customer-focused and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment, with strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering exceptional customer service
• Competent in a range of Microsoft Office software
• Ability to work in a pressurised environment, where priorities can change
• Experience of taking minutes or note taking using a computer during meetings
• Ability to communicate at all levels including Senior Management

Responsibilities

• To undertake processes and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of People Services
• Provide advice to managers, employees and the wider People Team on the broad range of People Services topics
• Manage and progress all aspects of transactional People Services relating to the employee lifecycle, utilising relevant Human Resource Information Systems
