Job summary

TransferRoom is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to own and optimize our people operations in London. You’ll manage HRIS (HiBob) end-to-end, ensure compliance across the UK and in potential new markets, and partner with Finance on payroll and benefits.

A data-driven, AI-minded approach will help automate processes and scale our People function. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead HR projects, and shape policies as we expand globally.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in HR/People Operations, ideally in a scaling tech or SaaS.
• Hands-on HRIS experience (HiBob or similar), comfortable owning a system end‑to‑end
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
• Confident with data - able to build reports and dashboards
• High attention to detail and handling confidential information
• Experience coordinating payroll with Finance
• Nice to have: multi-country employment & contractor compliance
• Experience using AI tools to automate workflows

Responsibilities

• HR Systems & Data: Own HiBob end-to-end - configuration, data integrity, reporting and integrations; build dashboards on headcount, turnover and KPIs.
• Compliance & Policy: Own UK and multi-country employment compliance; maintain handbook and policies; manage right-to-work checks and visa submissions.
• Employee Lifecycle: Manage onboarding and offboarding end-to-end; support performance management cycles with logistics and data.
• Payroll & Benefits: Partner with Finance to run payroll, coordinate benefits and open enrolment; be first contact for pay queries.
• Automation & Process Improvement: Build automated, scalable HR solutions with an AI-first mindset.
• Projects & Manager Support: Lead or support HR projects; advise managers on policy application and best practices.
