How We Work
At ITN, how we work is as important as what we do. Our values describe what you can expect when you work here — and what ITN expects of you.
Ambition – We set bold goals, take ownership, and keep learning. We look for new opportunities and better ways to make an impact.
Courage – We speak up with honesty and respect, challenge ideas constructively, and value open, direct communication.
Team – We collaborate, celebrate others’ successes, and make sure every voice is heard. We put the team’s success first.
We also recognise the importance of balance and wellbeing, so we welcome flexible working, part-time roles and job shares across all areas of ITN.
The Role
The People Team Operations Manager is a newly created role, responsible for designing and implementing streamlined and efficient HR processes.
This role will be the operational heartbeat of the People function - you will lead initiatives to leverage technology to optimize workflows, integrate systems, enhance reporting capabilities, and maintain compliance across all HR systems.
By driving improvements and strengthening People systems and processes, you will empower the People team to make informed decisions and provide exceptional support to the business. This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence. Both a strategic approach and hands‑on capability are required to be effective.

- Data Integrity & Governance: Maintain high standards of data quality and delivery across People systems, ensuring accuracy and security
- Technology Enablement & Integration: Leverage HR technology and automation tools to streamline and optimise People workflows (onboarding, offboarding, probation, performance cycles, reward etc.) and enhance user experience for employees and managers. With support from People Partners and Technology colleagues, work with stakeholders in the business to integrate, collect and interrogate data from different systems (e.g. Dayforce for shift patterns, additional hours and leave; Sage HR for personal details, role information and compensation)
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop and manage robust analysis and reporting frameworks, providing regular People analytics and insights to support strategic decision-making and workforce planning
- Compliance & Risk Management: With support from the People Relations Manager, ensure adherence to employment legislation, data protection regulations, and internal policies across all People operations
- Leadership: Support and develop People Partners and Co‑ordinators with a focus on service excellence, continuous improvement, and high‑quality delivery across all business areas. Champion operational excellence
- Stakeholder Support: Act as a trusted expert to the People team and business leaders on People processes, systems, and data‑related queries. Partner with internal teams (Payroll, Finance, Legal, Technology) to ensure seamless cross‑functional processes. Support organisational change initiatives
- Training & Guidance: Provide training and support to People team members and managers on processes, systems, and data management best practices, as required
- AI: Support ITN’s AI and technology strategy as early adopter, share developments with the People team and drive increased usage
These are the main requirements of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties. It is intended to reflect the nature, range, and context of the work, which will change over time.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record in People operations, process improvement, and data governance
- Solid understanding of employment legislation, compliance requirements and HR best practice
