Job summary

CMS Law is seeking an HR Operations Manager to lead HR Administration and HR Operations across the firm, ensuring compliant and timely delivery while supporting business priorities and the employee lifecycle.

You will manage the HR Operations team, optimise Workday and related technologies, use data to drive improvements, and partner with HR Business Partners to deliver a joined‑up employee experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HR Administration and/or HR Operations in a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle administration and service delivery standards.
• Experience coaching and developing teams and supporting colleagues through change.
• Proficiency with HR systems and data to improve processes and user experience.
• Ability to build relationships across HR and wider stakeholder groups.
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to streamline processes.
• Clear, pragmatic communication with handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of HR Administration and HR Operations across the firm, ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with policy.
• Oversee employee lifecycle administration and Workday processes with strong controls and high service standards.
• Manage, coach and develop the HR Operations team.
• Partner with HR Business Partnering teams and Centres of Excellence to align services.
• Manage Workday and HR technologies to improve efficiency, data quality and user experience.
• Use HR data, reporting and metrics to assess service effectiveness and inform improvements.
• Manage relationships with third-party providers and ensure SLAs are met.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and governance of HR procedures.
