Job summary

Oxoid Remel Microbiology in Basingstoke (RG24) is seeking an HR Coordinator to join the team on a 12-month full-time contract. You will be the first point of contact for employee and manager queries, supporting the business across the full employee life cycle.

This hands-on HR operations role requires strong organisational skills and discretion, with fluency in English. You will liaise with Payroll and contribute to improving HR processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR administration/HR operations/shared services (or similar).
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a customer service mindset.
• Good MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Comfortable managing confidential information.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day HR queries and providing guidance on policies and processes
• Coordinating HR admin across the life-cycle: new starters/on-boarding, changes (transfers/promotions), absence, and leavers
• Preparing HR documentation, letters and maintaining accurate personnel files
• Keeping employee records up to date in HR systems, supporting reporting and data audits
• Working with Payroll to ensure changes are processed accurately and on time
• Supporting benefits queries and assisting with annual benefits/comp processes when needed
• Handling sensitive information with discretion and supporting compliance/audit requirements
• Contributing ideas to streamline admin and improve the employee experience
