Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking an HR Officer - Employee Relations in Ramsgate, Kent. The role focuses on ownership of complex and sensitive casework, advising managers across the organisation and supporting with investigations and policy review.

The position reports to the Business Administration Manager and collaborates with the HR Assistant to deliver high-quality, legally sound HR advice and case management in a busy environment.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent or tested qualification for employee relations.
  • Significant experience handling complex employee relations cases.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and statutory guidance.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and producing reports.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and produce high-quality reports.
  • Provide practical, legally sound HR advice to managers and senior leaders.
  • Support employment tribunal cases and ACAS early conciliation.
  • Advise on employment law, equality and workplace adjustments.
  • Review and develop HR policies and procedures.
  • Coach managers to handle people issues with confidence.

We are excited to be working with our client who are looking for an experienced HR Officer - Employee Relations to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident HR professional with strong employee relations expertise to take ownership of complex and sensitive casework and provide trusted advice to managers across the organisation.

Reporting to the Business Administration Manager and working alongside the HR Assistant, you will take ownership of complex and sensitive employee relations casework and provide trusted advice to managers across the organisation.

What you'll be doing:
  • Managing complex disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases
  • Conducting workplace investigations and producing high-quality reports
  • Providing practical, legally sound HR advice to managers and senior leaders
  • Supporting employment tribunal cases and ACAS early conciliation
  • Advising on employment law, equality and workplace adjustments
  • Reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures
  • Coaching and supporting managers to confidently handle people issues
What we're looking for:
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) qualified

  • Excellent communication, judgement and influencing skills
  • The ability to remain calm, professional and pragmatic in challenging situations
