Job summary

Greater Manchester Academies Trust (GMAT) is seeking a friendly, organised HR Officer to support HR operations across recruitment, onboarding, payroll, absence monitoring and compliance. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure policies align with safeguarding standards and employment law.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent HR experience.
• Solid admin experience in a generalist HR environment.
• Familiarity with safer recruitment regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment campaigns and onboarding.
• Maintain SCR and ensure safeguarding compliance (KCSIE).
• Record staff absences and support payroll variations monthly.
• Provide guidance to staff and managers on HR policies and terms of service.
• Maintain accurate staff records on the HR database with GDPR compliance.
