Job summary

GXO is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the people agenda at the West Hallam site. Reporting to the HR Business Partner and partnering with the Site General Manager, you will shape employee relations, performance, and engagement to support operational success.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30. The ideal candidate holds CIPD Level 5 and has proven experience in fast-paced environments, delivering practical HR solutions and building leadership capability.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification required.
• Strong employment law knowledge with a practical, commercially oriented HR approach.
• Proven experience driving change, developing culture, and boosting employee engagement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leadership to develop and deliver the people strategy, driving engagement and organisational effectiveness.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management.
• Build leadership capability through coaching, training and ongoing support to managers across HR activities.
• Drive talent management, succession planning, learning and development initiatives, and future leadership pipelines.
• Analyse HR metrics and use data-driven insights to support business decisions and continuous improvement.
