Job summary

Hyper Luminal Games LTD in Dundee, Scotland, is seeking an experienced HR/Payroll professional to support our 60+ game developers in a fast-paced, creative environment.

You will manage HR operations, assist payroll, and partner with Heads and Directors, with circa 70% focus on HR and 30% on admin tasks. The role requires strong HR qualifications and compliance know-how, offering career development and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

Job description

Scotland's leading independent games studio, Hyper Luminal Games, is looking to recruit an experienced HR/Payroll professional to support the talented team of 60-plus game developers in our Dundee-based studio.

Responsible for managing the studio’s HR operations and assisting with payroll. You will be actively supporting the department Heads and Directors. On average, 70% of your time will be dedicated to the HR role, with 30% for general administrative tasks and supporting with payroll data.

Requirements

Essential

• 2+ years of practical work experience in a small to medium-sized company in an HR role.
• An industry-recognised HR qualification.
• A strong working knowledge of current HR legislation, systems and processes.
• Strong computer admin skills, with experience in data processing and using online software.
• Experience using Google Suite or Microsoft 365 Suite of tools.
• A comfortable understanding of numbers, ability to work with spreadsheets and strong focus on attention to detail.

Desirable

• Experience using Bamboo HR or any other relevant cloud-based HR platform.
• Practical experience of supporting a payroll run and positive attitude to attention to detail and prompt work delivery.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think on your feet, and excel in planning and organisation.

Duties and Tasks
