Job summary

VIQU Energy Limited is seeking an experienced HR Manager for a Birmingham-based hybrid role. You will own day-to-day HR operations within a small to medium organisation, shaping culture, employee engagement and business performance.

You will lead a small HR and administration team, providing trusted guidance across all levels, while ensuring policy compliance and continuous people development. The role is full-time and permanent with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification is required or essential.
• Broad generalist HR knowledge across all HR disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, ER and HR best practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in employee engagement, training and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the HR team, overseeing recruitment, development, performance and wellbeing.
• Provide expert HR guidance to managers on capability, conduct, absence and employee relations.
• Ensure HR policies and processes comply with UK employment law and ACAS guidance.
• Lead onboarding, induction, engagement, progress and exit interviews.
• Develop and deliver training and development programmes, including sector-specific training.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience and organisational performance.
• Manage HR budgets, headcount, reward and monthly payroll administration.
• Champion employee wellbeing, inclusion and a positive workplace culture.

We are seeking an experienced and engaging HR Manager to join a growing organisation and take ownership of the day-to-day HR function. This is a broad, hands-on generalist role, ideal for a HR professional who enjoys working within a small-medium organisation and making a genuine impact on culture, employee engagement and business performance.

You will provide trusted HR support and guidance across all levels of the business while managing a small HR and administration team.
