VERO HR (www.verohr.co.uk) is a rapidly growing and award-winning HR outsourcing business based in Peterborough, providing its UK-wide and international client base with a full range of people services. Technology plays a key role in our engagement with clients, but our service delivery is rooted in combining the benefits of technology with a personal touch.

Having achieved a strong reputation for customer service excellence (we won HR Consultancy of the Year for 2024 at the Personnel Today Awards), we are always seeking new team members who share our passion for great service.

About our opportunity

Due to the expansion of our client base, we are now looking for an additional HR Manager to join our team.

Based at one of our clients' offices in Manchester and reporting to an HR Director, you will be responsible for delivering a generalist HR service to a diverse range of clients across various sectors, including private equity-backed tech businesses. You will build strong relationships with clients. While this is a generalist role, we also aim to identify your HR specialism and share your expertise across our team.

In particular, you will:

  • Provide advice on the full spectrum of employment issues, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Support managers with complex disciplinary, absence, performance, grievance, and appeal matters, attending meetings virtually or face-to-face.
  • Assist with redundancy, restructuring, and TUPE transactions.
  • Research, develop, and implement HR solutions tailored to client needs.

Who we are looking for:

Whether you aim to advance your career or are an experienced HR Manager seeking a new challenge, we want to hear from you.

You should have a friendly, approachable style and:

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
  • Expertise in areas such as learning and development, organizational development, reward practices, international HR, HR technology solutions, global talent mobility, resourcing, employee wellbeing, or EDI.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels and establish credibility quickly.

If you are passionate about delivering high-quality service and are highly organized, we look forward to your application!

Why you will love working here:

  • An attractive salary and benefits package, including life assurance, 25 days of annual leave, and your birthday off!
  • Opportunity to participate in our share option scheme once eligible.
  • Excellent development and promotional opportunities within an expanding business where you can make a real impact.
  • A tailored development plan and regular coaching sessions to support your growth.
