Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and shape the HR function for a hotel in the UK. You’ll own recruitment, training, engagement, and payroll processes while driving high-performance and a positive work culture.

You will report to the Hotel General Manager with a dotted line to Group HR, guiding strategic HR initiatives and ensuring exceptional guest experiences through people excellence.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in an HR management role, ideally in hospitality or customer-focused environment.
• CIPD qualification is preferred; a strong understanding of employment law is required.
• Experience driving employee engagement and managing payroll/costs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment and selection for the property, including internal hiring and succession planning.
• Drive training and development to prepare talent for next steps in their careers.
• Create and drive the engagement strategy within the hotel.
• Proactively manage IR and ER issues.
• Maintain HR records and documentation and oversee payroll budget and processing.

As HR Manager you will report to the Hotel General Manager, with a dotted line to the Group HR Manager. You will guide and manage hotel operations effectively, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strategic growth, and high-performance standards while fostering a positive work environment and driving financial success.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee all recruitment and selection for the property, including internal hiring and succession planning.
• Drive Training and Development amongst the staff to ensure that our talent is ready to take the next steps in their careers.
• Create & drive the engagement strategy within the hotel.
• Proactive management of IR and ER issues.
• Maintain employee compliance standards for the hotel, including proper HR Records and documentation.
• Oversee the payroll budget and processing for the hotel through the Time and Attendance systems.

What You Will Need

• 3 to 5 years in an HR management role, ideally in a Hotel or customer-focused environment.
• Proactive by nature and a self-starter.
• 3rd level qualification in HRM, Business or similar. CIPD qualification is preferred.
• Experience in driving employee engagement.
• Experience in payroll and cost management.
• Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the business.
• Strong understanding of employment law and related legislation.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
