Job summary

Vibe Recruit in Crumlin, Wales, is seeking an HR Manager to own the day-to-day HR function for the business. You will review contracts, employee records, and HR documentation, ensuring accuracy within the HR system and compliance with GDPR.

As the role evolves, you will contribute to wider HR strategy, oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, and support managers with HR matters, development, and workforce planning in a growing company.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience with knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience supporting managers and handling HR processes end-to-end.
• Knowledge of HR policies, contracts and employee documentation.
• Strong organisation, communication and discretion in sensitive matters.
• CIPD qualification or active progression toward CIPD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day HR function and support managers with HR matters.
• Review contracts, employee records and HR documentation to ensure accuracy on the HR system.
• Review and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with current employment legislation.
• Manage employee relations including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Establish effective 1:1, appraisal and performance management processes.
• Review and improve recruitment, onboarding and induction processes.
• Identify and coordinate training and development requirements.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR.
• Monitor relevant HR KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance to managers and ensure HR policies are consistently followed.
• Handle sensitive HR matters with complete discretion.
• Over time, support the MD with wider people initiatives including engagement, retention, talent management and workforce planning.

Job description

HR Manager

Location: Crumlin
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
Start: ASAP

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Manager to join an established business based in Crumlin.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day HR function and provide support and guidance to eight managers across the business.

Initially, this will be a hands‑on, operational role focused on reviewing and improving existing HR processes, ensuring contracts, employee records and policies are accurate and up to date, and introducing greater structure and consistency across the business.

As the HR function develops, there will be genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to become increasingly involved in the wider HR strategy.

About You

We are open to candidates at different stages of their HR career. You may already be an experienced HR Manager who can hit the ground running, or an ambitious HR Advisor/Senior HR Advisor with around 2-3 years' experience looking to take the next step.

You will ideally have:

• Generalist HR experience and a good understanding of UK employment law.
• Experience supporting employee relations matters.
• Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, contracts and employee documentation.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with managers and senior leadership.
• A professional, trustworthy and discreet approach.
• The confidence to challenge and support managers when required.
• CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD would be advantageous.
