Job summary

Perfect Personnel Ltd is supporting a client in Redditch, Worcestershire, seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead HR at their depot. You will provide proactive HR support to managers and employees, delivering guidance on employee relations and ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.

Working with operational leaders in a fast-paced warehouse environment, you will promote a positive, inclusive culture, develop people management practices, and drive engagement.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries at the dedicated site, including providing ad hoc support to other sites as required.
• Support and coach the HR Officer to ensure effective delivery of HR services.
• Partner with operational leaders to deliver workforce plans aligned to business objectives.
• Support organisational change initiatives, restructuring, and business transformation projects.
• Manage a diverse and complex caseload of employee relations matters, ensuring timely and legally compliant outcomes.
• Provide expert, pragmatic advice to managers and senior stakeholders on ER activities, including grievances, disciplinary processes, performance management, absence, and conduct issues.
• Support managers in investigations and formal hearings, ensuring processes are well documented and compliant with employment law.
• Draft clear, legally sound outcome letters, reports, and communications.
• Facilitate mediation and informal resolution, escalating complex matters appropriately.
• Manage long-term sickness absence and ill health capability, supporting management with reasonable adjustments from Occupational Health.
• Support the consistent application of absence and performance policies, coaching managers.
• Contribute to development and implementation of people policies and procedures.
• Coach and develop managers in effective people management and leadership accountability.
• Support recruitment activities with hiring managers and the wider People Team.
• Maintain accurate and compliant HR records in line with GDPR and internal controls.
• Promote employee wellbeing and a positive workplace culture.

Perfect Personnel are currently supporting a client who is seeking an expreinced HR Manager to work at their depot in Redditch, Worcetershire.

The HR Manager will provide professional, proactive HR support to operational managers and employees across the Redditch site. This role is responsible for delivering expert guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and industry standards and supporting the consistent and effective application of HR policies, procedures and best practice.

Working closely with operational managers in a fast-paced warehouse environment, the HR Manager will be responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive, and high performing culture across the site. The role will partner with leaders to encourage effective people management practices, drive employee engagement and create an environment where colleagues feel valued, supported, and motivated to perform at their best.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

• Support managers in leading investigations and formal hearings, ensuring processes are transparent, well documented, and compliant with employment law and best practice.
• Draft clear, consistent, and legally sound outcome letters, reports, and related communications.
• Facilitate mediation and informal resolution, escalating complex or high risk matters appropriately.
• Manage complex and sensitive cases, including long term sickness absence and ill health capability, supporting management with implementing any reasonable adjustments recommended by Occupational Health.
• Support managers in the consistent application of absence and performance policies, providing coaching to build confidence and capability.
• Contribute to the development, review and implementation of people policies and procedures.
• Coach and develop managers in effective people management, strengthening leadership capability and accountability.
• Support recruitment activities as required, working collaboratively with hiring managers and the wider People Team.
• Maintain accurate and compliant HR records in line with GDPR, governance, and internal controls.
