You will join our HR department based in Apsley/Hemel Hempstead, UK in the position of:

HR Generalist – EMEA

About the Role:

HARMAN is currently looking for an EMEA HR Generalist supporting employees situated within a number of countries with an interest in compensation and benefits, employee wellbeing, employee development and HR transformation. In this role, you will be responsible for all tasks that support and contribute to the Human Resources Department and be the first level contact for all employee queries in your assigned employee population. You will take the lead in supporting employees in the UK and Denmark as well as defined other countries, connecting with other HR Generalist in the team to support our employees.You report to the Senior HR Manager for EMEA.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as a first level contact for all EMEA employees within country scope for HR transactional questions and requests and provide back-office / administrative support.
  • Provide high quality HR Generalist and administration support for all activities within the employee lifecycle, for example onboardings, changes and terminations.
  • Coordinate and complete all new hire onboarding, contractual change and termination processes and documentation.
  • Manage all employee benefits (such as: pension and insurances) for the assigned region and third party contact.
  • Be(come) the specialist for compensation and benefits for our colleagues working within EMEA.
  • Build structure in our ways of working and identify and drive the ways to optimize.
  • Monitor HR and systems processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain personnel data accuracy in cooperation with our Shared Service Centre.
  • Support and participate in EMEA HR projects. Provide quality and professional support and advice to managers through the employee lifecycle and on case management of employee relations topics.
  • Take the lead on communication and wellbeing initiatives for Professional Solutions EMEA as well as the UK & Denmark more widely.

What You Need to Be Succesful:

  • Bachelor's degree (Business Studies, Human Resources Management) and/or relevant HR qualification such as CIPD.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a HR role supporting at least 1 country.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Affinity with working, standardizing, and optimizing processes by using facts and figures.
  • Affinity with compensation and benefits policies and practices within Europe.
  • Employee Relations experience and at least basic employment law knowledge for the UK and/or Denmark.
  • Experience of working in projects.
  • Independent and proactive attitude.
  • Well organized with excellent planning and presentation skills.
  • HARMAN competencies that are most important for this role: Collaboration and Results Driven.
  • Accurate and accountable.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Additional language skills (French, German, Danish, Spanish).
  • Experience with Workday.
  • A track record of delivering successful HR Initiatives
  • Administrative or HR experience in having dealt with a multitude of European countries.
  • Project Management capability.
