Job summary

BramahHR Ltd is seeking a confident and proactive HR Generalist to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Wigan.

You'll support everything from employee relations and recruitment to manager coaching and employee engagement, ensuring a practical, hands-on approach from day one. This role offers an opportunity to contribute across HR processes, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with a supportive team in a busy office environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR Generalist with strong employee relations, HR processes and employment legislation.
• Confident and proactive, able to advise managers and handle priorities in a changing environment.
• Open to candidates from all industry backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
• Manage employee relations cases, including absence, conduct, performance and probation.
• Prepare documentation and take notes during investigations, meetings and hearings.
• Support recruitment, contracts and onboarding processes.
• Coach managers on HR policies, procedures and people-related matters.
• Maintain accurate HR records and support reporting requirements.
• Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
• Support the wider HR team with generalist HR activities and process improvements.

HR Generalist 12 Month FTC

Salary: GBP35,000 GBP40,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am 4:30pm Friday, 9am 3:30pm

Location: Wigan Fully Office Based

We re looking for a

Confident and proactive HR Generalist to join a supportive HR team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on role. You'll be supporting everything from employee relations and recruitment to manager coaching and employee engagement, making a real impact from day one.

About the candidate

You’ll be an experienced HR Generalist with a strong understanding of employee relations, HR processes and employment legislation. Confident, approachable and organised, you’ll be comfortable advising managers, managing competing priorities and adapting to change. We're looking for a proactive team player who can hit the ground running, with candidates from all industry backgrounds welcome.
