Job summary

Placr Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established HR consultancy for an experienced HR Consultant to provide additional support during busy periods and short-term cover. You will deliver practical HR advice, support employee relations matters and produce clear, professional documentation.

This opportunity could suit an experienced HR professional seeking occasional work alongside other commitments.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR professional with ability to interpret briefs quickly.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Ability to work independently across multiple client engagements.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical HR advice to clients, managers and employees.
• Supporting or leading disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance cases.
• Undertaking workplace investigations and preparing findings and reports.
• Supporting or managing formal meetings, redundancy processes and TUPE matters.
• Drafting and reviewing HR letters, contracts, policies and outcome documentation.
• Identifying employee relations, legal and reputational risks, escalating where appropriate.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and interview documentation.
• Maintaining accurate meeting notes and confidential case records.

Skills

CIPD Level 5 or above

HR generalist experience

UK employment law knowledge

Excellent written communication

Independent working

Education

CIPD Level 5 qualification or above
