We help as many people as possible feel safe, connected and informed by combining ingenious technology with contact from real people who care. Our values of being Caring, Reliable, Knowledgeable, Progressive and Passionate guide how we work together and support our customers.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR career, with scope for development towards CIPD Level 7 and longer-term ambitions to step into more senior leadership roles within the organisation.

We’re looking for an experienced CIPD Level 5 qualified, forward-thinking HRBP to join our team in an HR generalist role supporting our sites in Warrington and the South Lakes. This newly created role aims to strengthen our HR capability as the business grows, this role blends core HR guidance with operational expertise in the full employee lifecycle including Employee Relations, learning & development (L&D) and change management. We are seeking someone with a curious, pragmatic mindset who recognises AI as an essential tool for moving a tech-focussed business forward, combining the expertise to challenge and evaluate its output critically, with an eye for the opportunities it presents to drive HR and organisational efficiency.

You’ll provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle, championing continuous learning, supporting line managers, guiding teams smoothly through change, and applying technology thoughtfully, knowing when to leverage new tools and when to challenge them, to optimise workflows, culture, and performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to the Senior Leadership Team, managers and employees.
  • Manage the full range of employee relations situations.
  • Utilise AI capabilities to enhance efficiency within the HR teams.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation, and support the drafting, review and updating of HR policies and documentation.
  • Lead and embed initiatives using our HRIS and Learning Experience Platform (LXP)
  • Guide teams through business growth and change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions, high engagement, and streamlined operational processes.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and retention activities.
  • Produce HR data and insight to support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure GDPR compliance.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience as a generalist HRBP, demonstrating strong operational capability in ER, L&D and change management.
  • Has a strong understanding of UK employment law and experience supporting employee relations cases fairly and consistently.
  • Enjoys being the go-to person for managers and employees, providing clear, practical HR advice they can rely on.
  • Communicates well and builds strong relationships across all levels of the business, including in more sensitive or challenging situations.
  • Is confident to challenge senior leaders when appropriate, providing constructive feedback and driving sound business decisions.
  • Brings a progressive outlook that views AI as an essential tool to move a tech-focussed business forward, paired with the practical expertise to challenge and critically assess its application rather than adopting it blindly.
  • Takes pride in producing clear, well-written HR documentation, policies and guidance when needed.
  • The role is based at our Warrington office, but you must be able to travel between our South Lakes and Warrington sites as required.
  • Further travel to Volaris Group events may also be required.

The role you will join today will increase with responsibility as you and the business grow. We are looking for someone with the appetite, mindset and desire to further develop their HR capabilities. If this sounds like you and you are excited about joining a busy, growing, award-winning company, we’d love to hear from you.
