Location: Hybrid working with at least two days per week (Mondays and Thursdays) in our Central Support office in Matlock, Derbyshire. Office/home based working, with the requirement to travel to our care homes on an ad hoc basis.

About The Role
We are Careport Group, encompassing a team of around 600 employees across our portfolio of Mariposa Care Group homes, covering residential, nursing and specialist mental health care across the UK, with sites currently in Carlisle, Leeds, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Middlesborough, County Durham and Oxfordshire. We are driven by our caring and compassionate workplace values, and we’re now offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Central Support team based in Matlock, Derbyshire.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a trusted HR Business Partner who can work in a fast-paced and dynamic HR team.
- Has a strong understanding of employment law, and a proven track record of providing advice on employee relation cases, including but not limited to 121s, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, performance, redundancies, TUPEs.
- Has the skills and knowledge to support and guide managers, providing day to day ER related advice, in an efficient and effective manner.
- Is experienced in case management, seeing cases through from opening to resolution within reasonable timeframes.
- Has experience liaising with an external HR advice line, providing precise and accurate ER case information to discuss with advisors, ensuring HR processes and employment law are followed correctly and fairly.
- Is organised, with good attention to detail and excellent all-round communication skills.
- Will build positive relationships with our care home managers, the operational team and the central support team.
- Understands the strategic and operational priorities of the business, ensuring a consistent approach is maintained in how employee relation cases are managed.
- Can understand and assess the risks associated with complex ER cases and work alongside the Head of HR on these cases.
- Will support the Head of HR with any projects or change management processes.
- Is up to date with employment legislation changes and engages in development and learning opportunities.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Ability to provide a dynamic, effective and efficient HR business partnering service to care home managers.
- CIPD qualified to at least Level 3 or above.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Knowledge or experience of working in the health and/or social care sector (preferable but not essential).
- Experience of working in a regulated organisation, e.g. CQC, Ofsted (preferable but not essential).
- You must be warm, kind, reliable, empathetic and compassionate toward people when you spend time with them.
- Experience at remaining calm and considerate in a very busy and varied role, ensuring a smart and professional image is presented at all times.
