Job summary

CV Screen is recruiting an HR Business Partner in Harlow to shape people practice across the organisation and lead a dedicated HR team. The role reports to the HR Director and works closely with senior leaders in a forward-thinking education provider.

The ideal candidate will hold CIPD Level 5+, bring substantial ER casework experience, and have strong employment-law knowledge. The package includes a generous pension, holidays, and ongoing development.

HR Business Partner

Salary up to £51,000

Offering a salary of £51,000 per annum, this full-time, permanent role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to make a real impact. Working closely with senior leaders, you will shape people practice across the whole organisation and lead a dedicated HR team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Advise managers on the full range of employee relations cases, from disciplinaries and grievances to absence, performance and restructures


• Coach and challenge senior leaders to build high-performing teams while staying compliant with employment law and internal policy


• Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, the employee lifecycle, compliance, safeguarding and data reporting


• Lead and develop the HR team, promoting continuous improvement and excellent customer service


• Deputise for the HR Director when required

What Experience is Required

• CIPD Level 5 or above, with substantial recent experience as an HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist, ideally within education


• A strong track record of handling complex employee relations casework and organisational change, and of working with trade unions


• Sound knowledge of employment law, plus experience of leading and coaching staff

Salary & Benefits

£51,000 per annum. Benefits include 35 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays, a day off for your birthday, an extra 15 days' paid leave at Easter and Christmas, a generous pension scheme, wellbeing support and ongoing professional development.
