Education Experts is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a Coventry-based role supporting a group of primary schools within a local trust. The position is full-time (Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm) with a potential move to part-time or term-time, and requires travel to Coventry as needed.

You will work from the head office, applying Safer Recruitment practices and SCR expertise, and contribute to safeguarding and teacher terms and conditions knowledge across the schools.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Safer Recruitment and the SCR is essential.
  • Strong understanding of teachers’ terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting school Office Managers with HR processes and advice.
  • Reviewing HR records and the SCR and implementing improvements for Ofsted readiness.
  • Providing HR support around absence triggers.
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding procedures.
  • Liaising with payroll and pensions providers where needed.
  • Handling minor casework for School Office Managers.

Position Overview

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced HR Business Partner for one of our Coventry (CV6), West Midlands based Multi Academy Trusts. If you are an education experienced HR Business Partner, who is available either immediately or from November 2026 onwards and able to travel to Coventry we would be keen to speak with you.

Role Details

This specialist education HR role is initially offered on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday for a period of at least six months. The daily working pattern is 8am to 4pm with a slightly earlier finish each Friday. A part time, term time or all-year option is available depending on your personal requirements.

You would be predominantly based at the head office and support a key group of local primary schools within a short distance of the site. Experience and working knowledge of Safer Recruitment and the Single Central Record are essential, and we would be looking for candidates who can demonstrate a strong understanding of teachers’ terms and conditions. Other general duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting school Office Managers with HR processes and advice,
  • Reviewing HR records and the SCR and putting processes in place to improve/strengthen these in readiness for an Ofsted inspection
  • Providing HR support around employees reaching absence triggers
  • Supporting with recruitment and onboarding procedures
  • Potentially liaising with our payroll and pensions providers
  • Supporting School Office Managers with minor casework

Requirements

In order to be successfully shortlisted in your applications with us we will require the following:

  • A relevant HR qualification, ideally CIPD Level 5
  • Substantial experience working within an education setting.
  • All required documents for safer recruitment processing including, but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
  • Exceptional references.

Once shortlisted, a one-to-one interview will be scheduled with your dedicated consultant to discuss your experience and personal requirements.

Contract & Compensation

Full-time (starting as a full-time basis). Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm with a slightly earlier finish each Friday; part time, term time, or all-year options available. Daily rate: £164.10 to £220 per day.
