Job summary

Finning (UK) Ltd is seeking a commercially focused HR Business Partner to act as an operational people partner to business leaders across the organisation, supporting strategic goals. You will shape and deliver people plans that drive performance, growth and engagement in a multi-site environment.

As a trusted advisor, you will use data and sound judgement to influence decisions, resolve complex people challenges and lead change with line managers and leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification; Level 7 desirable.
  • 5+ years' HRBP or senior generalist HR experience.
  • Experience delivering change and organisational improvement.
  • Experience handling complex employee relations and advising senior leaders.
  • Experience in project management and leading cross-functional people initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel; full UK driving licence.
  • Experience with HR systems and people data; Workday advantageous.

Working closely with line managers and leadership teams, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering people plans that support business performance, organisational growth, engagement, capability development and cultural transformation.

Job Description: As a trusted advisor, the HR Business Partner you will use data, insight and sound judgement to influence decision-making, resolve complex people challenges and drive initiatives that enhance employee experience and business outcomes. Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and deliver people plans that support operational and organisational objectives.
  • Provide expert HR advice and coaching to build leadership capability and foster a high-performing, inclusive culture.
  • Use people data, insights and workforce trends to inform decision-making and drive organisational effectiveness.
  • Lead talent, succession and workforce planning activities to support capability development and internal progression.
  • Manage and support complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, policy and best practice.
  • Take ownership of recruitment for key leadership positions, ensuring robust, inclusive and effective hiring decisions.
  • Support organisational change, performance management and employee engagement initiatives across designated business areas.
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR processes and collaborate with specialist HR teams to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused HR service.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification, with CIPD Level 7 qualification or progression towards Level 7 desirable.
  • At least 5 years' experience in an HR Business Partner or senior generalist HR role.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering change, transformation and organisational improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters and advising senior leaders.
  • Experience of project management and leading cross-functional people initiatives.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development across employment law, coaching, organisational development and people analytics.
  • Experience within a unionised environment would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to align people strategies to business objectives.
  • Understanding of business operations within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Experience using HR systems and people data to drive decision-making; Workday experience would be advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
