Job summary

Whittard of Chelsea in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, is seeking an HR Business Partner to join the Milton Park office. Reporting to the Head Of HR, you will support retail and head office teams, acting as a trusted partner to managers to drive the people agenda.

You will lead on employee relations, workforce planning and talent development, ensuring high performance and organisational growth. CIPD Level 5 is essential, with a minimum of 3 years HR generalist experience.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years HR generalist expereince including HR project ownership.
• Updated employment law knowledge
• Retail HR and international experience would be desirable
• Understanding of payroll would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Coach and support managers to build high-performing teams, improve employee engagement, and drive business performance.
• Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, and absence management cases.
• Lead workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and key people initiatives that support organisational growth and employee development.
• Line management responsibility, providing coaching, support, and clear direction to ensure high performance.
• Partner with leaders and line managers across retail and head office teams, providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations, performance management, and people development.
