Job summary

Cardiff Capital is seeking a Human Resources Assistant – Employee Relations to support the Education and Schools HR Team on a hybrid basis at Ty Elai, Williamstown. You will provide HR services to primary and secondary schools within Rhondda Cynon Taf and central educational services.

You will handle recruitment queries, sickness absence, discipline/grievance minute taking, and maternity/paternity leave processing, while using the iTrent system.

Qualifications

• First point of contact for HR queries and provide timely responses following HR policies.
• Experience with HR systems and payroll processing (iTrent) is desirable.
• Welsh language ability is desirable.
• Hybrid working arrangement in Ty Elai, Williamstown.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR services to primary and secondary schools within Rhondda Cynon Taf and central educational services.
• Handle recruitment and selection queries, conditions of service queries, and welfare/absence management.
• Take minutes for discipline/grievance meetings and process maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental leave.
