Job summary

Veritas Consultancy(UK) Ltd in Ilford, East London, is seeking an HR assistant with strong administrative and communication skills to join a fast-paced team. The role requires reliable multitasking, accuracy, and the ability to follow instructions while supporting employee lifecycle processes.

You will handle recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and HR reporting, ensuring compliance and confidentiality. This is a full-time office-based position located near our Ilford HQ.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Administration and point of knowledge for the employee lifecycle.
  • Recruitment, headhunting & talent attraction.
  • Pipelining of candidates to ensure a ready source.
  • Promote Islam Channel as employer of choice through branding.
  • Be the employee engagement and wellbeing champion.
  • Manage, produce and report HR KPIs.
  • Create and improve job families for development and internal career paths.
  • Identify skill gaps and arrange appropriate training.
  • Coordinate company performance process and payroll support.
  • Handle internal and external HR inquiries or requests.
  • Maintain digital staff records and HR calendars.
  • Assist with recruitment, references, contracts.
  • Assist with performance management procedures.
  • Schedule meetings/interviews/HR events and maintain agendas.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
  • Onboard and update records for new staff.
  • Produce and submit general HR activity reports.
  • Process payroll and resolve payroll errors.
  • Complete termination papers and exit interviews.
  • Keep up-to-date employment legislation and best practices.
  • Perform ad-hoc HR tasks as required.

Role summary:

We are looking to employ an HR assistant with outstanding administrative and communication skills. An HR assistant is expected to be a conceptual thinker with superb organisational and time management skills. You must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatise to a fast-paced environment.To ensure success, the candidate should display remarkable conflict management and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and payroll and benefits administration.This is a full-time office-based role, so it is vital that you are within commuting distance to our HQ in Ilford, Greater London.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Administration and point of knowledge for the employee lifecycle
  • Key focus on recruitment, headhunting & Talent attraction
  • Continuous pipelining of candidates ensuring a readily available source
  • Position Islam Channel as the employer of choice through positive internal and external employer branding communication and initiatives
  • Be the employee engagement and wellbeing champion
  • Management, production and reporting of HR KPIs
  • Create and improve job families to ensure ongoing development and internal career paths for employees
  • Identify gaps in skills for individuals and departments and sourcing and arranging appropriate training and professional development
  • Revision and coordination of the company performance process
  • Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Maintain digital and electronic records of staff.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
  • Maintain calendars of the HR management team.
  • Assist with performance management procedures.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
  • Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Process payroll and resolve any payroll errors.
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Keep up-to-date employment legislation and best practice
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as and when required
