Job summary

The Institute of Metabolic Science at the University of Cambridge is seeking a motivated Human Resources Apprentice to join our HR team. This fixed-term 24-month programme offers broad exposure to recruitment, payroll, contracts, and employee support.

You will complete the Level 3 HR Apprenticeship and may gain CIPD accreditation, supported by a dedicated team, with training, mentorship and the chance to develop essential HR skills in a leading research environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C (4+) or above, including English and Maths
• Interest in Human Resources and commitment to completing Level 3 HR apprenticeship
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Customer service skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills
• Flexibility and proactivity in handling changing priorities
• Ability to manage your time and meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
