Job Description:

Our client, based in Borough of Croydon, is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor (systems and communications) on a 1–3-month temporary contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience.

The ideal candidate must have strong systems experience, preferably with 'iTrent', and hold an enhanced DBS taken within the last three years.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the maintenance and development of the HR system (iTrent), including liaising with the system provider (MHR) and producing reports.
  • Managing the staff intranet, ensuring content is current and relevant.
  • Training staff on the HR system (iTrent) and ensuring accurate data input for payroll processing.
  • Training staff on the VTS system for sessional lecturers and supporting system users.
  • Supporting HR casework processes, coaching managers and staff on procedures such as disciplinary, sickness, probation, and performance management.
  • Providing administrative and advisory support throughout the recruitment process.
  • Managing onboarding processes, including DBS checks and compliance in a safeguarding environment, to ensure a positive employee experience.

Experience required:

  • Using data reports to analyze trends and identify priorities.
  • Collaborating with business areas to deliver comprehensive HR services.

Skills, knowledge, and expertise:

  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle complex problems proactively, with excellent customer service skills.

Working hours:

35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm.

The successful candidate must have strong systems experience, ideally with 'iTrent'.
