An established industry player is seeking an HR Advisor for a 12-month maternity cover. This role involves providing HR advisory services to employees and managers, maintaining HR systems, and managing employee relations cases. About the Role & Team
This is a 12 month fixed-term maternity cover.
A trusted advisor on all HR matters to UK based employees and managers across Disney Media EMEA, with teams including Disney+, Media Networks and Original Productions. They will do this by having a sound knowledge of HR best practice, detailed understanding of Company and employee policy, an ability to navigate our HR and business procedures, and by working closely with the Senior HR Business Partner, HR BP and HR Director as well as the wider HR team and COE’s. They will have sharp attention to detail, high level of concentration and be able to deliver on administrative tasks, with the ability to switch activities, as work levels and volumes change, to support the wider HRBP team. They will be a personable relationship builder with empathy and a genuine passion for our business and its people.
What You Will Do
Provide an HR advisory service and admin support to employees and managers within Media, on all matters relating to the employee lifecycle including recruitment, resourcing, employee relations, L&D, on-boarding, off-boarding and performance management approaches.
Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of headcount requests, internal systems and liaison point for the Compensation team.
Take full ownership for maintaining and updating organisation structure charts for the areas they support in EMEA.
Headcount reconciliation: accurately update & maintain headcount reports to track employee numbers, requisition IDs, turnover and backfill reconciliation, and workforce data in general.
Provide an interface with GHRO on administrative areas such as contracts, letters, employee changes on any relevant systems.
Assist the deliverable of annual HR processes, such as salary and bonus review, talent planning, mentoring scheme, intern enrolment, induction programme, etc.
Own end to end ER cases, including Flexible Working requests, performance improvement plans, disciplinary, grievance, and sickness absence.
Be the point of contact for Talent Acquisition, supporting managers with raising vacancies for approval, and supporting TA with any queries or escalations.
Support managers with Headcount Management systems on areas such as repurposing roles, monitoring where roles are needing help to move for approval, and support on use of the system.
Act as liaison point and build strong relationships with wider Hr teams such as Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, GHRO, Organisation Management
Opportunity to provide support to the wider HRBP team on projects and initiatives such as reorganisations, wellbeing, etc.
Identify areas for process improvement within the HR function and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations
An understand of employee relations is essential
Excellent communications skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and to cope with people in emotive situation
Able to discern points of escalation vs working somewhat autonomously, with sound logic & judgment
Excellent time management skills and able to multi-task and prioritise workloads given by multiple stakeholders
