Job summary

Hales Group is recruiting an experienced HR Advisor for a busy manufacturing business in Suffolk. Based in Beccles, you will work closely with the HR Manager, delivering generalist HR support across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, administration and reporting.

You’ll handle UK employment legislation, maintain HR records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 or actively working toward CIPD qualification.
• Experience as an HR Advisor or in a generalist HR role within the UK.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience managing employee relations cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees.
• Manage employee relations matters including absence management, disciplinaries, grievances and performance issues.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and offer/contract administration.
• Prepare contracts and HR documentation; maintain accurate HR records.
• Arrange and attend meetings, take notes and provide guidance as required.
• Lead recruitment activities including offer management and onboarding.
• Coordinate onboarding and induction for new starters.
• Produce and analyse HR reports to identify trends and improvements.
• Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Handle HR administrative duties across the employee lifecycle.
