Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide a comprehensive HR advisory service to Trust managers and staff within the Forensic and Offender Healthcare Services directorates. The role supports sickness absence management, employee relations, training, and changes in practice.

Based at Pinewood House, Dartford, with some travel to sites and limited home-working. Strong communication, relationship-building, and data-driven decision making are essential for improving

Qualifications

• Analytical with ability to identify risk and develop solutions.
• Customer focused and driven to achieve high standards.
• Experience in operational HR and advising on Employee Relations is essential.
• Good knowledge of employment law and ability to interpret it.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and facilitation support to Managers to develop leadership competence.
• Design and deliver bespoke training interventions for the Service Directorate/s.
• Provide support to management and operational teams to improve people-practice via training and coaching.
• Support changes in culture, team working and engagement through collaboration with Strategy, OD and Improvement Teams.
• Advise on changes, TUPE transfers and use workforce data to inform planning.
• Provide guidance on change management and support for transfers or redundancies.
• Support bids for new services and defensive tender processes.
• Support implementation of workforce systems (e-rostering, job planning).
• Advise on HR policies, absence management, and informal employee relations issues.
• Provide coaching to managers to initiate early resolution conversations.
• Attend sickness meetings and hearings, assisting with documentation and tribunals as needed.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
• Maintain positive relationships with staff and representatives.
• Monitor sickness absence statistics and advise on improvements.
• Ensure data from staff surveys and reports informs service improvements.
• Contribute to policy development and Equality and Diversity initiatives.
• Support Commissioning Managers and Investigating Officers in their roles.
