Job summary

Leigh Academies Trust is seeking a practical People Advisor to join our Central Services People team. You will provide high-quality HR advice, balance ER casework with operational delivery, and support staff wellbeing and recognition schemes.

Working with People Partners, you will maintain data integrity in iTrent, handle payroll-impacting changes, and contribute to TUPE and change processes. A proactive team player with UK employment law knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR advisory or senior officer capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and ER casework.
• Hands-on experience managing HRIS platforms (iTrent) and ticketing systems.
• Ability to provide objective, plain-English advice to managers while remaining human-centered.

Responsibilities

• Act as the direct point of contact for line managers and staff via the Halo helpdesk.
• Guide managers through ER casework including grievances, disciplinaries, capability, and absence management.
• Maintain high data accuracy in iTrent and payroll-impacting changes in line with GDPR.
• Produce and analyse data reports on absence patterns, turnover, and trends.
• Champion staff recognition schemes and signpost staff to wellbeing resources.
• Provide administrative and advisory support during organisational change, restructures, and TUPE.
