Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland seeks an experienced HR Adviser to provide confident, practical and commercially focused advice to managers. The role covers multi-site HR support with regular travel between SOCOTEC locations and some hybrid working, supported by a Central HR team.

You will manage a varied caseload of employee-relations matters, apply UK employment law, and collaborate with HR Business Partners on organisational change and workforce initiatives. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on advisory case-management experience across absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Sound knowledge of UK employment law and practical, clear advice for managers.
• Strong communication, organisation and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage routine and moderately complex employee-relations cases (absence, performance, disciplinary, grievances).
• Provide practical, legally informed advice, attend meetings, and challenge managers constructively.
