Job summary

United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an HR Advisor to support HR Business Partners with first-line advisory services across pay, recruitment, succession and performance development. You will focus on case management and upskilling managers in people management while ensuring compliance with employment law.

The role is flexible regarding location (Risley or Preston) with requirement to attend Preston at least one day per week, and involves collaboration with HR Centres of

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or working towards with strong knowledge of employment law.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to legal notes and data entry.
• Able to prioritise, solve problems and manage conflicts pragmatically.

Responsibilities

• Provide sound HR advice to line managers and employees in line with policies.
• Deliver efficient case management and employee relations guidance.
• Advise on absence management, occupational health referrals and return-to-work processes.
• Collaborate with HR Support Team to ensure timely advice and support.
• Utilise HR metrics to monitor trends and Data packs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, job design, restructuring and redeployment processes.
