Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking an HR Advisor Casework to join the HR Advisory Team in Northallerton. The role provides advice on employment issues and manages a caseload across disciplinary, grievance, capability and probation cases.

You will work in a busy front-facing team, with hybrid working and occasional travel across the county. A supportive environment offers development opportunities and a clear pathway to progress within Corporate Services.

Qualifications

• Provide advice and guidance on employment issues, terms and conditions, policies and procedures.
• Manage a caseload of disciplinary, grievance, capability and probation cases.
• Develop and maintain relationships with managers, staff and HR colleagues to ensure service delivery.
• Deliver manager skills sessions to coach managers in HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance on a range of employment related issues, terms and conditions, policies and procedure.
• Manage and effectively deliver a caseload of various key HR processes - including Disciplinary, Resolving Issues at Work (Grievance Procedure), Capability and Probation cases.
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with managers, staff, stakeholders (in and outside of NYC) and HR colleagues to ensure service delivery.
• Delivering Manager Skills Sessions on key HR processes, to coach and support managers in managing these processes independently within their teams.
