Job summary

Oliver Valves Ltd in Knutsford is seeking an HR Advisor to provide practical, day-to-day support to managers and employees across UK operations, helping resolve people issues and keep HR processes running smoothly.

You will lead the full employee lifecycle for your workforce, oversee HR data integrity (GDPR compliant), partner with payroll, monitor metrics and drive improvements in engagement, retention and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Strong generalist HR experience with ability to provide clear, considered advice on sensitive matters.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering and familiarity with HR systems and Excel.
• Degree or CIPD Level 5; recruitment experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical HR advice across all generalist HR matters and resolve day-to-day people issues.
• Lead the full employee lifecycle for your workforce: recruitment, onboarding, ER, absence, performance, and offboarding.
• Oversee the integrity and GDPR-compliant HR data across systems.
• Partner with payroll to ensure accurate processing for starters, leavers, and pay-related changes.
• Monitor HR metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in engagement and retention.
