York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity within the Workforce & OD Directorate as a Human Resources Advisor. The closing date is 02 October 2025. The role can be based at York or Scarborough Hospital; remote working is in place, with requirement to attend face-to-face meetings at Trust sites as required.
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor who has worked in an environment where they are the first point of contact for managers, providing professional, high-quality advice and guidance to facilitate the early resolution of difficult, complex or sensitive employee relations issues, ensuring that employees are treated fairly and risks are effectively managed. Responsibilities include providing a timely advisory service to managers and supporting the HR Support Team on general operational issues such as terms and conditions of service, family-friendly policies, annual leave, flexible working, and the initial stages of sickness absence, performance management, conduct investigations, civility, respect and resolution cases.
You must communicate effectively and confidently to a wide range of audiences. If you are self-motivated and looking to expand your knowledge and career within HR, this could be the role you have been waiting for.
