Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is hiring an HR Advisor in Ipswich. You will provide day-to-day HR guidance and manage the employee lifecycle, supporting managers across disciplinary, absence and performance matters.

The role requires strong knowledge of UK employment law, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a HR Advisor or similar generalist HR position.
  • It is preferred to hold CIPD Level 5 or equivalent practical HR experience.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience supporting managers with employee relations matters.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident working in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to sites when required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
  • Manage employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, contractual changes and leavers.
  • Support employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues.
  • Produce HR reports and analyse data relating to absence, turnover and employee engagement.
  • Assist with recruitment activities including advertising vacancies, screening applicants and coordinating interviews.
  • Support HR projects and employee engagement initiatives across the business.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
  • Deliver a high standard of HR administration and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Work closely with the wider HR and Learning & Development teams to support training initiatives.
