Job summary

Connect Recruitment is seeking an HR Specialist to provide a comprehensive HR service across the business. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will support the delivery of the company’s HR Strategy and ensure first-class service to staff.

Based in the office with hybrid options, this role covers recruitment, employee relations, payroll, MI, health and safety and administration. CIPD membership is preferred and strong Excel skills are expected for reporting and data management.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience in a fast-paced commercial/finance organisation.
• Experience with payroll, health and safety, HR systems/databases, employee relations and recruitment.
• CIPD membership preferred is desirable.

To provide a comprehensive and professional HR service to all staff. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the HR Specialist will help to ensure the implementation of the company s HR Strategy and to deliver exceptional first class HR service.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Ability to listen and be approachable to all staff, treating queries and staff with respect

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to demonstrate confidentiality in dealing with all issues of business, especially when handling sensitive situations & / information

Self-motivated, organised and flexible with ability to meet competing demands, managing their own workload, while delivering high quality work to tight deadlines

A pro-active team player with excellent attention to detail and a solution-driven mind-set

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS:

Good generalist HR skills gained in a fast paced commercial / finance organisation.

CIPD membership preferred

Computer literate. Microsoft Excel to advanced level & familiarity with Iris Cascade, Concur & ADP would be advantageous

Previous HR experience to include payroll (desirable) health and safety, HR systems / databases, employee relations and recruitment and selection.

This role is based in the office, five days per week - Subject to, but not limited to satisfactory performance, staff may be allowed to work from home 2 days per week at the company s discretion in line with the hybrid working procedure. The hybrid working procedure is not contractual and subject to change at any time.
