Job summary

Focus Resourcing Limited is seeking an autonomous HR Advisor/Senior HR Advisor for an immediate temporary to permanent role in a rural UK location. This is a hands-on position focused on owning casework and providing high-level HR guidance to managers.

The role requires driving licence and own transport; the position is not hybrid and involves daily collaboration with a proactive team. CIPD Level 5 is the minimum qualification, with extensive ER experience preferred.

Job description

Our client requires a highly capable, autonomous HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor to join an established team on an immediate temporary basis.

Whilst the temporary assignment is to cover a HR Advisor level position, the client is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role designed for a professional who can hit the ground running. This is not an administrative HR position. You will immediately take ownership of casework.

Due to the rural office location, having a valid driving license and your own transport is strictly required.

This is not a hybrid position and requires an experienced individual who thrives in a hands-on role working on a daily basis with a supportive and productive team.

Duties

• ER Casework Management: Manage active and sometimes complex Employee Relations (ER) cases from inception to resolution, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance capability
• Immediate Impact: Step directly into operations to alleviate current casework pressures without requiring extensive training or hand-holding
• Policy Application: Provide accurate, high-level HR advice to line managers in line with current UK employment law and organisational policy

Benefits

• £38,000 - £40,000 per annum HR Advisor
• Up to £49,000 per annum Senior HR Advisor
• 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays

Experience required

For Permanent Senior HR Advisor Consideration

• CIPD Level 5 required as an absolute minimum
• Extensive, demonstrable experience leading ER casework independently

For Temporary Consideration

• Formal qualifications are highly desired, but secondary to proven, heavyweight ER experience and the ability to manage casework immediately
• Clean Criminal Record: Must have no criminal convictions
• DBS Check: A clean Enhanced DBS check is required. If you do not possess a current, transferable DBS check, a risk assessment will be carried out whilst DBS check is carried out
