Job summary

Edwards & Pearce is seeking a full-time HR Advisor for a long-established market leader in the FMCG sector. The role is office-based and covers HR generalist duties across the UK, including contracts, inductions, onboarding and offboarding, ER casework, absence and performance management, and HR admin.

You will support the HR and Talent team, pull information into reports, spot trends, and contribute to HR projects.

Qualifications

Job description

Our client is a long established and highly successful business, a market leader across their sector. They are currently looking to recruit a full-time office-based HR Advisor.

The role involves supporting the HR and Talent team with contracts, inductions, on and off boarding, ER, absence management, performance management, ad hoc referrals, day to day HR and some HR admin support work, dealing with UK wide stakeholders, pulling key information together into reports, spotting trends, and data capture, supporting on some HR projects, being a key member of the supportive HR team and assisting where possible to make sure the department offers the very best service possible to the business.

An outstanding opportunity to work for a long-established market leader in the FMCG sector. The role will be a full-time office-based generalist HR position working as part of a friendly supportive HR team across a busy, fast-moving business with some Teams exposure to different sites across the UK.

Role requirements

The role will require ER (casework) knowledge and experience

  • Good employment law knowledge
  • Previous experience in recruitment, contracts, on-off boarding, ER, day to day HR, absence management (triggers), performance management, long term sickness (experience monitoring PIPS), supporting admin with letters/admin when required, ad hoc referrals, reports/data capture/inputting details onto the system correctly,
  • Exposure to supporting on some HR projects
  • Previous experience working on HR projects
  • Union Exposure
  • Provide excellent HR support to the busy HR team and capable of prioritising a busy workload
Skills
  • CIPD 3 (working towards CIPD 5) or CIPD 5 (support longer term to achieve CIPD 5 if required)
  • Good Up-To-Date employment law knowledge
  • Experience of ER (taking meetings with Managers)
  • Previously worked in manufacturing in a busy organisation where no two days are the same
  • At least 2 years HR experience working at HR Advisor level or 1 year if in FMCG sector
  • Excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, confident working in a team and on own
  • Previous experience of day-to-day HR admin, excellent IT skills (experience producing statistics, reports and identifying data/trends etc)
  • A strong team player (taking the initiative and willing to grow and develop within the HR team)
  • Previously worked in manufacturing (blue collar)
