Reed HR are delighted to be partnering with a growing and forward-thinking HR consultancy in Kent to recruit an experienced HR Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their experience, gain exposure to a diverse range of clients and industries, and play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support and advice.
Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will provide practical HR guidance across a variety of employee relations matters, support client projects, and contribute to the continued success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
HR Advisory & Employee Relations
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to clients on a range of employee relations matters.
- Support and manage processes including disciplinary, grievance, mediation, appeal, redundancy, and TUPE cases.
- Review meeting notes and provide recommendations on appropriate next steps.
Client Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client queries via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
- Chair HR meetings, including investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, mediations, and appeals.
- Onboard new clients and deliver training on HR systems such as Breathe HR.
Documentation & Compliance
- Draft employment contracts, policies, disciplinary correspondence, reports, and other HR documentation.
- Develop and improve company processes and procedures.
- Support ISO 9001 documentation requirements and internal audits.
Business Operations & Development
- Maintain accurate and secure records using systems including Capsule, OneDrive, MeetGeek, and Xero.
- Keep up to date with UK Employment Law developments and HR best practice.
- Attend networking events, seminars, training courses, and professional development opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within a generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and professional approach.
- CIPD Level 3 or above (preferred but not essential).
