HR Administrator
£30,000 to £35,000 PA DOE
Stanford-le-Hope

Our client, a well-established organisation within the transport sector, is seeking an experienced HR Administrator to support their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in the day-to-day HR operations of a busy, fast-paced business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support across all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, record-keeping, and general HR processes.
  • Assist in the full recruitment cycle — from advertising roles and scheduling interviews to completing reference checks and ensuring all compliance requirements (e.g. HGV licences, CPC qualifications) are met.
  • Ensure all Right to Work documentation, DBS checks, and other pre-employment requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Draft clear and professional correspondence, including investigation letters, disciplinary outcome letters, memos, and formal communications.
  • Support HR programmes, policies, and initiatives in line with business objectives.
  • Provide admin support with performance management, disciplinaries, terminations, and grievance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee records — including contracts, licences, safety certifications (CPC), and training documentation — ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with HSE administration, particularly linked to driver safety and transport operations.
  • Support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in an HR admin role (ideally in transport, logistics or a similar sector)
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements: Right to Work, DBS, CPC, HGV
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
