Job description

MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with this public sector organisation in their search for a HR Admin Assistant.

The role:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support across recruitment, on-boarding, and probation processes, ensuring timelines and compliance are met.
  • Maintain accurate employee records on the HRIS, including training records, and system updates.
  • Support monthly HR and payroll processes, addressing queries and coordinating with finance as needed.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of internal and external learning and development activities, including logistics and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate equality monitoring tasks and contribute to statutory reporting requirements.
  • Organise and support health and wellbeing initiatives and Occupational Health appointments.
  • Ensure statutory training and probation reviews are tracked and completed within required timescales.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential

  • Experience working in a HR/training/payroll environment
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Work with data ensuring high levels of accuracy

Desirable

  • Previous experience using HR information systems
  • Previous experience using E-recruitment portals
