Job summary

Red Bull Technology invites an undergraduate to join the HPC and Technical Platforms team in Milton Keynes for a 1-year placement. You will work on compute, storage and platform services, gaining hands-on experience with Linux systems, job scheduling and automation.

You will collaborate with engineers across IT and engineering, contribute to monitoring and improvement efforts, and develop practical scripting skills using Python, Bash, Git and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in a relevant field (CS/Engineering) required.
• Curious, analytical mindset and willingness to learn essential.
• Exposure to Linux systems, HPC workloads and scripting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day operation and monitoring of HPC compute, storage and platform services.
• Support Linux-based systems: administration, patching, troubleshooting and health checks.
• Develop scripts and simple automation using Python, Bash, Git or Ansible.
• Contribute to monitoring, reporting and analysis of system utilisation and performance.
• Work with HPC engineers and software developers to deliver reliable, secure services.
• Aid testing, benchmarking and proof-of-concept activities.
• Document procedures and keep asset records up to date.
