Job summary

Red Bull Technology Group in Milton Keynes is offering a one-year undergraduate placement in our HPC and Technical Platforms team. You will work alongside engineers to design, operate and improve compute, storage and platform technologies underpinning simulation, analytics and engineering workloads.

This hands-on role covers Linux systems, compute clusters, storage, networking, automation and monitoring. The placement starts summer 2027 and includes valuable learning opportunities and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant technical degree (CS/IT/SE/EE) with strong problem-solving skills.
• Interest in HPC, Linux, scripting and automation.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with good communication.
• No prior HPC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operation and monitoring of HPC compute, storage and platform services.
• Support Linux-based systems, including routine administration, patching and health checks.
• Develop scripts in Python/Bash and use Git/Ansible for automation.
• Contribute to monitoring, testing and performance analysis.
• Document procedures and work with engineers to deliver reliable services.
• Participate in team projects and continuous improvement activities.
