Job summary

Sanderson Recruitment Plc is recruiting a Platform Manager (HPC & Digital Infrastructure) in Bristol. The role oversees a complex HPC and digital infrastructure landscape, including Linux, GPU computing, clusters, storage, networking, and cloud services, with hybrid working arrangements.

You will lead a skilled team, drive platform maturity, define roadmaps, ensure resilience and security, and collaborate with researchers and engineers to advance high-performance computing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HPC and Linux infrastructure teams.
• Experience in platform engineering and service delivery.
• Proven ability to define roadmaps and collaborate with researchers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation and strategic development of a complex HPC and digital infrastructure environment.
• Manage platform services supporting HPC workloads and research computing.
• Oversee Linux-based servers, cluster infrastructure, storage platforms, and networking services.
• Ensure platform resilience, scalability, security, and availability.
• Drive automation, monitoring, observability, and operational best practices.
• Manage technical incidents, service improvements, and platform optimisation programmes.
• Lead and develop a team of platform engineers and technical specialists.
• Define and deliver infrastructure roadmaps aligned to future business requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to prioritise investment and innovation initiatives.
