Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Basingstoke is seeking a Consultant to deliver full general and specialised surgical services, including elective and emergency care, at the North Hampshire Hospital with duties across three sites as required. The role requires active participation in MDTs and management of a personal caseload through outpatient clinics, theatre lists and on-call arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Provide full general and specialised surgical services including both elective and emergency surgery.
• Work at North Hampshire Hospital but across three sites as required.
• Be an active member of the local MDTs.
• Manage own caseload of patients through outpatient clinics, theatre lists and on-call arrangements.
• Contribute to on-call rota for general surgery and to the Hepatobiliary rota.
• Cover annual and study leave and emergency on-call, with locum arrangement for an initial 12 months.
