Job summary

Lambeth Council is conducting two Change & Improvement Lead positions in Housing, on an 18-month fixed term contract or secondment. You will steer priority projects across Homelessness & Housing Needs and Housing Management & Operations, using data and insight to identify root causes and deliver lasting improvements.

The role is primarily based at Lambeth Civic Centre in Brixton with a requirement to work from the office at least two days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience leading service improvement or transformation within a large, complex organisation.
• Knowledge of housing, regulation, compliance, assurance or working within a regulated environment.
• Experience engaging service users to understand needs and improve outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to diagnose problems using qualitative and quantitative evidence.
• Sound project and programme management skills with delivery of measurable improvements.
• Ability to build credibility and influence across boundaries.
• Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative, curious and continuous-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of change and improvement projects for Lambeth Housing.
• Diagnose root causes using evidence, data and insight and develop practical solutions.
• Mobilise the right people and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Develop clear delivery plans and maintain momentum to embed improvements.
• Support long-term financial sustainability through transformation work.
