Nacro is seeking a Housing Support Worker to serve Basingstoke and Southampton. The role involves assisting service users with housing applications, rent payments, and benefits, while ensuring safety and tenancy sustainment.

The role requires a full driving license and willingness to travel across the region. Salary starts at £26,807 with progression within the first year to £27,477 pro‑rata, with a 37.5-hour week on a rolling rota.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a support or housing-related role.
• Experience working with vulnerable adults and individuals with complex needs.
• Strong communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Service Users: assess needs and create safety plans; assist with housing applications and rent payments.
• Property Management: ensure Decent Homes standards and address maintenance issues.
• Collaboration: work with probation, court staff, housing providers and other agencies.
• Tenancy & Independence: help service users develop life skills and plan moves to independence.
• Risk & Safeguarding: identify and manage anti-social behaviour and safeguarding concerns.
• Record Keeping & Compliance: maintain timely case records and support delivery.
